About the team
The Store Operations & Support (SOS) Department ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of all stores. It supports store teams by coordinating operational procedures, resolving issues, monitoring performance, managing resources, and maintaining company standards. The department acts as a key link between stores and head office, helping deliver consistent service, compliance, productivity, and excellent customer experience.
About the role
We currently have two exciting opportunities available for Retail Promotions Assistants (Merch Transition) to join our team.
In this role, you will support the end-to-end delivery of promotional programs across our retail brands, including Amcal and Discount Drug Stores. Working closely with suppliers, franchise partners, and internal stakeholders, you will help coordinate promotional activities, manage key deadlines, and ensure the successful execution of catalogues and in-store promotional campaigns.
You will play a key role in preparing promotional briefs, supporting marketing asset reviews, coordinating promotional materials, and collaborating with Retail, Marketing, Space Planning, Pricing, and Category teams to deliver engaging and effective promotions that drive customer engagement and sales.
Role responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the end-to-end delivery of promotional campaigns, ensuring critical deadlines are met and promotional activities are executed successfully.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, suppliers, and franchise partners, providing timely and professional support.
- Prepare, review, and maintain promotional briefs, allocations, and promotional information to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
- Assist with catalogue production, promotional artwork proofing, and the creation of store promotional materials.
- Generate reports and provide insights to support promotional planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with Retail, Marketing, Category, Pricing, and Space teams to ensure seamless execution of promotional campaigns and in-store activity.
- Contribute to process improvements and support additional promotional projects as required.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence working with data and systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience or knowledge of promotional processes is highly regarded.
