Accounts Assistant (Temporary Part-Time) 

Location: Belgard House, Tallaght 
Contract: 3 months (from January)

Hours: Part-time – approx. 3 days per week 
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer 

Role Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team on a temporary, part-time basis from January. This role will support core accounting activities, ensure accurate financial processing, and assist with ongoing reporting and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Bank Reconciliations 

  1. Daily and monthly reconciliations across multiple bank accounts. 

  1. Creditor Payments & Reconciliations 

  1. Prepare creditor payment runs. 

  1. Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies. 

  1. Accounts Payable & Receivable Posting 

  1. Process invoices accurately and in line with company procedures. 

  1. Support debtor and creditor ledger management. 

  1. Company Credit Card Processing 

  1. Post transactions and complete monthly credit-card reconciliations. 

  1. Inventory Invoices & Adjustments 

  1. Post inventory-related invoices. 

  1. Assist with stock adjustments and related accounting tasks. 

  1. Statutory Filing & Reporting 

  1. Support VAT returns, CSO filings, and other compliance submissions. 

  1. General Finance Administration 

  1. Liaise with banks, suppliers, state agencies, and auditors as needed. 

  1. Assist with company registration requirements or ad-hoc finance tasks. 

Experience & Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience, ideally within a multinational environment. 

  • Accounting Technician qualification (or equivalent). 

  • Strong technical skills, including: 

  • Sage 50 experience (essential) 

  • Advanced Excel 

  • Familiarity with ROS 

  • Confident liaising professionally with banks, suppliers, auditors, and external stakeholders. 

  • Ability to work independently, manage own workload, and handle responsibilities with minimal oversight.
