Primary Focus

  • The ongoing monitoring, maintenance, development and improvement of the safety and injury management systems; including but not limited to: Solv Safety, Solv Injury, DoneSafe, MyWeb Safety, Sharepoint, MS Teams, Store Development, Viva Learning, Safety Reporting, Data Analytics
  • Creation and management of foundation WHS documentation (policies, procedures, guidance documents, risk register, etc) in line with ISO 45001 OHS Management System bench mark standards;
  • Provide safe work practices advice, guidance and support to all sites across the Group; 
  • Promoting a safety culture suited to the various workplace environments and overall business model of the Group.

Function Responsibilites

WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY
▪ Provide general safety advice and services on a broad range of WHS topics and matters;
▪ Lead the development, implementation and improvement of WHS documentation, policies, directives and procedures based on relevant legislation and the Group’s guiding principles and practices;
▪ In conjunctions with the WHS Manager undertake all necessary actions including attendance at OHS meetings, to ensure compliance with all respective legislation and Regulations;
▪ Implement, monitor and administer WHS compliance matters;
▪ Improve WHS knowledge and understanding of our internal customer base, through well considered business practical safety initiatives and activities.

 

WHS AND REPORTING AND COMPLIANCE
▪ Complete reports as required using the respective safety and claims systems and processes;
▪ Monitor and maintain the reporting systems, processes and program;
▪ Provide guidance with the groups compliance and WHS changes ensuring compliance with respective legislation;
▪ Maintain various safety statistics and in conjunction with the WHS Manager undertake various analysis and assessments;

Qualifications & Experience

▪ WHS formal qualification or recognised equivalent, Cert IV in WHS
▪ Practical experience in WHS or a similar blended role;
▪ Strong systems and administrative know how
▪ Sound understanding of WHS as well as management practices;
▪ Ability to interpret and apply WHS legislative requirements;
▪ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, activities and projects in fast paced environment;
▪ Excellent writing skills and written and verbal communication skills.
