Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

Reporting directly to the Vaccination Services Manager, the incumbent will need to ensure all responsibilities are completed successfully and delivered within required timeframes. The person must be comfortable with:

 

  • Assist with the planning, implementing and monitoring of all vaccination and medicine by injection services across the CW Retail network of community pharmacies.
  • Ensure the provision of high quality vaccination and medicine by injection services according to accepted standards and practices and delivering comprehensive and innovative solutions, focusing on business efficiencies, improved business operating outcomes and enhanced customer experience.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in healthcare and working with the Vaccination Services Manager, identify opportunities to introduce new or expand existing vaccination and medicine by injection services that meet the needs of the business and customer.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing quality clinical and practical advice to management, franchisees and employees across the CW Retail network of community pharmacies.
  • The principles of continuous quality improvement and risk management
  • Building lasting relationships that can be relied on to help bolster our reputation
  • Working and liaising with people from a diverse range of multicultural backgrounds
  • The practice guidelines, professional practice requirements and State and Federal legislation, as they apply to pharmacy and to vaccination services in pharmacy.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Current Ahpra general registration as a pharmacist without any conditions or undertakings.
  • Qualified Pharmacist Immuniser with a Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3+ years practical experience as a community pharmacist in Australia.
  • Good understanding of healthcare regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to vaccination and medicine by injection services.
  • Demonstrated ability in the successful delivery of planning and provision of customer focused, high quality and cost effective pharmacy service(s) or program(s).
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail demonstrating well developed time management skills and ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; coupled with a professional telephone etiquette approach
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make major decisions. Good working knowledge of general IT and Computer skills.
