About the team
This role is part of the Technology and Architecture team within IT. The team’s mission is to design, build, manage, and optimise the organisation’s core infrastructure, and end-user technologies. The department comprises more than 100 specialised engineers and technical experts. This position plays a critical role in both managing and shaping our organisations technologies and platforms.
About the role
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of Technology and Architecture programs of work. This role provides leadership and governance across a portfolio of initiatives spanning enterprise Infrastructure, end-user technology, networking, and security platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
Role responsibilities
- Own and deliver the overall Technology & Architecture Program schedule, ensuring alignment across all projects and work packages.
- Drive in-flight projects to achieve targets across scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Review and help prioritise the current and forward pipeline of projects to ensure alignment with strategic technology roadmap and business objectives.
- Manage project interdependencies, sequencing, and integration across broader programs of work.
- Contribute to the overall delivery framework, processes, and strategy for Technology and Architecture teams.
- Help develop and deliver against agreed Project Governance Models, ensuring appropriate controls, reporting, and decision forums are in place.
- Align program execution with enterprise strategy, roadmaps, and priorities.
- Improve ways of working, and cross-functional collaboration models.
- Provide leadership and guidance the Technology & Architecture Project Managers.
Who are we looking for?
- A tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent.
- 8+ years in a Project Management position
- 3+ years expertise in Program Management
- Good working knowledge of Infrastructure and end-user technologies
- Extensive knowledge of Project Management & Delivery methodologies and Program Management frameworks
- Strong time management with an ability to work in a fast moving environment
- Experience delivering technology projects in in large organisations
