About the role

The Senior Network Delivery Lead is responsible for contributing to and overseeing the technical project delivery of Network Infrastructure and services assuring that they align with strategic goals and objectives. The role will contribute to strategic initiatives, continuous improvement, and provide technical guidance as well as coaching on delivery practices. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise and oversight and leadership of delivery processes. Reporting directly to the Network Services Manager, the Senior Network Delivery Lead will form part of the team’s leadership group.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, designing, and implementing network technologies and network security solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Collaborate with project managers and project teams to build delivery plans and timelines.
  • Develop, document, and maintain technical resources and best practices for technology delivery and operations.
  • Perform workload management, project planning, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimise efficiency.
  • Align technical activities with the organisation's strategic objectives. Contribute to our technology roadmaps.
  • Implement and maintain automation and orchestration tools to improve Infrastructure efficiency.
  • Analyse and balance delivery time, cost, and quality trade-offs.
  • Provide high level technical expertise and guidance to Network services team.
  • Validate and remediate solution compliance with organisation policies and our regulatory environment. 
  • Define and enhance processes and ways of working. Influence and integrate with broader organisational changes.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years in a Network Engineering position
  • 5+ years expertise in leading the technical delivery of Network Infrastructure and Systems.  
  • Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills and the ability to plan and prioritise the delivery of large scale projects with multiple resources.
  • Highly developed attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed and thorough knowledge of network technologies, including routing, switching, wireless and load balancing.
  • Expertise in network and network security solution design.
  • Extensive knowledge of network security platforms, including on-premise firewalls, network access control solutions, and network segmentation.
