About the role
The Senior EUC Engineer role is to work as part of a team that delivers end user IT services to Chemist Warehouse Retail. In addition to direct operational responsibilities, the selected candidate will participate in developing the operational models, processes and procedures required to maintain and support IT systems for our organization. The successful candidate needs to be able to meet our high standards for quality, versatility and integrity while being able to adhere to our tight deadlines and time constraints.
Reporting to the EUC Manager the incumbent will need to ensure all responsibilities are completed successfully and delivered.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Manage user accounts, group memberships, permissions, and organizational units (OUs).
- Develop, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security settings, application deployments, and user configurations.
- Ensure consistency and compliance of Group Policy settings across the organization.
- Resolve Group Policy-related issues and optimize policies for performance and security.
- Utilize Modern Device Management tools and techniques to deploy, configure, and manage devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
- Implement and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for mobile devices, ensuring data security and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain standardized device configurations and images.
- Administer and optimize Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication within the organization.
- Manage Office 365 applications, including OneDrive, Exchange, and other productivity tools.
About you
- Must have advanced skills and knowledge operating in Modern Desktop Management environment such as HCL BigFix, Workspace One or Microsoft Intune
- Must have minimum 2 years of experience creating packages for large scale deployments.
- Must have minimum 5 years’ experience supporting operating systems such as Windows
- Proven knowledge and experience in SOE management and deployment
- Proven knowledge of the Application support lifecycle, understands terminology and corresponding Application procedures
- Must have experience working in a large multisite Active Directory & Azure AD environment.
- Must be able to lead complex technical investigations.
- Demonstrate advanced problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
