This role is integral to delivering high-quality, accurate, and digestible reports and analytical insights, supporting informed decision-making across various departments. About the role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in elevating and accelerating insights delivery, driving best practices, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and mentoring junior analysts. You will work closely with the Operations Analytics Lead, ensuring high-quality reporting, dashboards, and analytical insights that provide real business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate departmental performance KPIs and initiative tracking metrics into visually intuitive presentations.
- Utilise best practice techniques to ensure quality, efficiency, relevancy, and integrity in visualisations, reports, and dashboards.
- Perform root cause analysis, generating insightful reports that lead to actionable outcomes and prompt decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively with leaders, stakeholders, and peers, ensuring trust and relevance in data products.
- Translate business requirements into clear and actionable summaries, driving data-driven decisions.
- Present insights in a clear and concise manner, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advocate for continuous improvement, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative approaches.
- Build strong relationships with the IT Data Team, actively contributing to workshops and discussions.
- Ensure adherence to data governance and security standards, continuously striving for improvement.
- Mentor junior analysts, fostering growth and enhancing data literacy across departments.
About You
- To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in analytical roles.
- Advanced expertise in enterprise-level Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong SQL skills (experience with Python and R highly regarded).
- Exceptional analytical skills in data mining, analysis, and visualisation.
- Prior experience in supply chain or retail (background in supply chain operations highly regarded).
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach.
- A critical thinking mindset, problem-solving ability, and strong decision-making skills
