Title: Senior Business Analyst
About the Team
The Pharmacy Services team at head office is the professional and clinical backbone of Chemist Warehouse’s pharmacy network of over 600 stores. We are required to maintain various standards around day-to-day operations of a pharmacy. The projects team is involved in a wide number of projects that help enable synergies and help bring new business opportunities to the business.
About the Role
Reporting into the Senior Product Owner, the Senior Business Analyst will lead discovery, analysis and solution shaping for complex, cross-functional initiatives. You will work with senior stakeholders, product and delivery teams, architects and developers to turn business needs into clear requirements, robust designs and successful implementations. From business cases and process improvement through to testing and go-live, your work will help deliver meaningful business and customer outcomes.
Role Responsibilities
• Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to identify opportunities, clarify business needs and assess the impact of change.
• Map current and future state processes, capabilities and systems, identifying gaps and practical transition approaches.
• Develop evidence-based business cases, options analyses and recommendations to support investment and prioritisation decisions.
• Define and maintain business, functional and non-functional requirements, with traceability through to acceptance criteria.
• Partner with architects and developers to translate requirements into functional specifications and fit-for-purpose solution designs.
• Document process models, user journeys, data flows, integrations, business rules and reporting requirements as needed.
• Work with Product Owners and delivery teams to refine backlogs, manage scope and support Agile, hybrid or waterfall delivery.
• Guide testing and defect resolution, coordinate business UAT and support cutover, hypercare and post-implementation reviews.
• Support system upgrades, conversions, integrations and enhancements, including data migration analysis and reconciliation.
Who Are We Looking For?
• At least six years of Business Analyst experience, including senior-level delivery on complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead discovery and requirements elicitation with senior business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong capability in functional and non-functional requirements, solution design collaboration and end-to-end traceability.
• Confident process modelling skills, including BPMN or equivalent, process maps, data flows and use cases.
• Experience working across Agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery environments.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder negotiation and structured problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience supporting developers, QA, UAT and systems upgrades or integrations.
• Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA or ECBA) would be highly regarded.
• Exposure to Dynamics 365, ERP, Azure or AWS, integration platforms, SQL or Power BI, and healthcare, pharmacy or retail environments would be advantageous.
