Our People & Culture Team is currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administration Team Lead to join our growing team based at our Head Office in Preston.

 

This role is based out of our Preston office 4-days per-week, with flexibility to Work-From-Home 1-day per week.

About the role

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional administrative support, customer service and fostering a collaborative work environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Administration Team Leader to lead our talented team and drive operational excellence.

 

This administration team plays a crucial role in providing essential administrative support to a variety of stakeholders across a range of tasks relating to the employee hiring and onboarding process.

 

This role will operate as a key point of contact and escalation point to a variety of internal and external stakeholders across the broader People & Culture (P&C) teams, our Store Managers, State Managers, team members, as well as prospective employees. The team’s role is to provide them with an exceptional level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

On a weekly basis, the key responsibilities of the role will include:

 

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of administrative professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Workforce Planning: Develop and implement effective workforce planning strategies to optimise team productivity and resource allocation.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily administrative operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Performance Monitoring: Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to streamline administrative functions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and support for various projects and initiatives. You’ll provide guidance and advice to managers on using our internal ATS & HRIS system, such as systems upgrades and training updates.
  • Team Player: you’ll support the team by managing a state-based remit of administration throughout the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, likely a high-priority sizeable remit, where you will process new employees throughout the entire candidate lifecycle, from job advertisements through to offer and contract creation through our end-to-end ATS & HRIS system. You’ll need to collate all required candidate documentation for onboarding and follow up as required ensuring all activities are completed in a timely manner for successful onboarding.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following key skills and experience:

 

  • Tertiary qualification or relevant working experience in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook) as well as other relevant HRIS/ATS software.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an administrative or office management setting.
  • Strong workforce planning and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
