About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Partnerships Manager working on our Sports & Lifestyle partnerships to join our Media team. In this role, you will lead the management of a diverse portfolio of sponsorships, ensuring effective assessment, planning, budgeting, activation, and evaluation of initiatives. Your expertise will be key in driving integrated marketing activities and events that leverage key partnerships to drive synergies across the Groups marketing activities.
As a key representative of our brand, you will proactively promote the Group, foster strong relationships with rightsholders and suppliers, and seek valuable opportunities to enhance our market presence.
This role requires regular interstate travel and after-hours work to support key sponsorships and activations.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of planning, implementation, and utilisation of Sports & Lifestyle partnership rights and benefits to align with marketing and sponsorship objectives
- Identify and build partnerships, with suppliers, that align with the sponsorship strategy, to support end-to-end marketing and commercial revenue objectives
- Media content planning, including copywriting and managing approvals
- Managing and reconciling budgets, tracking quotes and invoices
- Opportunity to work on new business pitches, identify and cross sell new opportunities and contribute to the overall growth of the team
- Hold regular work in progress meetings with all partners and maintain WIP documents
- Work alongside agencies to implement events, media sponsorships and creative output
- Assist with partnership reviews and contract negotiations in consultation with the Senior Partnerships Manager
- Organise promotional events including conception, implementation, and staff management
About You
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Marketing, Communications, Business, Events or equivalent qualifications
- Good working knowledge of Marketing, Media and Events
- Ideally 3-4+ years’ experience in Sponsorship, either agency or client side within the Sports & Lifestyle area
- Experience creating leveraged sponsorship or partnerships plans
- Understanding of and interest in, the sport, media and marketing landscape and the way channels work together to achieve outcomes
- Sound knowledge of digital and/or social media content planning (nice to have)
- Strong project management and presentation design capabilities
