Title:  Manager, Culture & Engagement

Employment Type:  Fixed/Maximum Term Full Time

Manager, Culture & Engagement (12-month fixed term contract)

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Engagement & Culture to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract as we embark on a new journey of bringing two cultures together to create one stronger, more connected, and energised workplace.

Reporting directly to the General Manager of People & Culture Retail, this newly created role provides a rare chance to shape, influence, and deliver initiatives that will define the future of our culture and employee experience.

About the Role

As Manager, Engagement & Culture, you will:

  • Build, refresh, and lead engagement and culture frameworks that foster employee connection, satisfaction, and belonging.
  • Revive and reinvigorate already established initiatives, ensuring they continue to deliver meaningful impact.
  • Shape and deliver brand new initiatives, including leading the development and delivery of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to support and advance the employment and engagement of First Nations peoples.
  • Partner with leaders to embed workforce behaviours, inclusion, and diversity practices that align with our organisational goals.
  • Drive engagement strategies informed by employee feedback and workforce data, ensuring an evidence-based approach to improvement.
  • Support leaders in learning, development, and performance conversations that enhance capability and lift organisational performance.
  • Promote open, transparent communication channels and build trust across all levels of the business.
  • Create and deliver wellness, recognition, and cultural programs that strengthen engagement and support overall employee wellbeing.

About You

We are seeking a forward-thinking and people-focused professional who is energised by the opportunity to create impact. You will bring:

  • A driven and motivated approach combined with patience and empathy. You will guide us through a new world of culture and engagement with influence and support rather than directive control.
  • Experience in employee engagement, organisational culture, or People & Culture roles where you have delivered successful people initiatives.
  • The ability to balance refreshing existing programs with designing innovative new ones.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Confidence in using data and feedback to measure outcomes and make informed recommendations.
  • A passion for diversity, inclusion, and meaningful workforce participation, particularly in supporting First Nations employment through RAP delivery.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a parental leave cover. It is a chance to help shape the future of our organisation as we build a culture that blends the strengths of two businesses into one. Working alongside a supportive and collaborative People & Culture team, you will make a visible impact by delivering initiatives that matter to our people, while developing your own experience in a highly influential role.
