About the Role
Reporting into the Cloud & Platform Services Manager, the Infrastructure Systems & Platforms Team Lead is responsible for leading and developing the engineering team that builds, operates, and contributes to enterprise-wide infrastructure platforms & systems. This role provides technical direction and is accountable for developing robust processes that support the ongoing optimisation of critical IT systems.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to plan, design, and implement solutions across data centre, edge, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proactively monitor and operate foundational technology platforms.
- Develop, document, and maintain technical resources and best practices for technology delivery and operations.
- Coordinate work dependencies, sequencing, and prioritisation. Plan and delegate work items.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities are maintained and tested.
- Validate and remediate solution compliance with organisation policies and our regulatory environment.
- Lead the team to meet the operational and strategic needs of the business
- Own systems and platforms, driving internal capability and direction. Measure them for decision-making, including lifecycle management, waste minimisation, and standards compliance.
About You
- A tertiary qualification in Computer Engineering (or an equivalent)
- 5+ years’ experience in a Systems Engineering role, with hands-on ownership of complex environments.
- At least 2 years’ experience leading, coaching or mentoring engineers — you enjoy helping others grow and succeed.
- Strong, practical knowledge of modern systems and platform engineering practices, methodologies and frameworks.
- A robust knowledge of Microsoft technologies, particularly Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra, M365, Exchange, and Configuration Manager.
