About the role

The IAM Engineer plays a key role in protecting Sigma’s digital environment by designing and delivering secure, scalable authentication, authorisation, and identity lifecycle solutions. Working closely with Cyber Security and a wide range of business stakeholders including HR, technology and cloud teams, and retail operations. You’ll help deliver a secure yet seamless user experience. This role contributes to the ongoing uplift of Sigma’s identity standards, access models, and governance frameworks, supporting a unified and resilient IAM capability. You’ll also drive accountability through standards review, metrics and reporting, helping to measure compliance, operational performance, and cyber risk reduction while contributing to Sigma’s broader IAM strategy.

Role Responsibilities

  • Identity specialist supporting the delivery of IDAM strategy.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise access policies, RBAC models, approval workflows, and standards to ensure consistent governance, security, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain identity persona data catalogues.
  • Ensure identity attributes, personas, and data structures align with Sigma Healthcare’s IAM standards and data models.
  • Engineer, configure, and support Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta IGA, and Microsoft Entra ID Governance.
  • Provide expert administration of Microsoft Active Directory and related tooling, including GPOs, AD Connect, memberships, auditing, and access reviews.
  • Design and implement RBAC and ABAC control patterns, privileged access, and entitlement management solutions.
  • Automate IAM and PAM processes using tools such as Azure Governance, CyberArk, Sailpoint, PowerShell, Function Apps, and Logic Apps
  • Advise on best practices for SSO, authentication and authorisation, including Kerberos, SAML, OAuth, SCIM, Conditional Access, PIM, and certificate-based access.
  • Contribute to security and compliance alignment with recognised frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, communicating clearly and confidently.

About you

  • A tertiary qualification in Degree Qualified or Suitable Experience
  • 3-5 years in this level of position or field of work
  • Professional work experience in the Healthcare industry
  • SC 300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator
  • Highly developed time management skills
  • Strong understanding of the IAM principles and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of IAM technologies and standards (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Azure AD Governance, SCIM)
  • SC 100: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
  • Experience with SharePoint, etc
  • Retail or customer centric business experience is preferred.
