About the role

The IT Network Engineering Team Leader plays a crucial role in leading the team responsible for supporting our global Network Infrastructure. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, support, and maintenance of our network environment. It is both a hands-on technical position and a leadership role, requiring active involvement in incident, problem, and change management. The Team Leader will drive the implementation and continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures.

Role Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor and support Network infrastructure solutions.
  • Produce and maintain knowledge and technical resources for the delivery and operations of Network solutions.
  • Translate requirements and problem statements into feasible and viable solution options.
  • Assist senior Network team in the design of Network solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate work dependencies, sequencing, and prioritisation. Plan and delegate work items.
  • Assist in defining and measuring team goals in alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Oversee operational requests, incidents, and risk, managing the prioritisation alongside other work.
  • Own systems and platforms, driving internal capability and direction. Measure them for decision-making, including lifecycle management, waste minimisation, and standards compliance.

About You

  • Passion for leading and working within technical teams. This role will empower and guide team members at varying stages of their careers and personal journeys.
  • Extensive experience with IT Networking technologies. They'll need hands-on experience of what does and doesn't work to succeed. Experience in these technologies is highly desirable:
    - Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba switching and wireless technologies.
    - Palo Alto Firewalls, Prisma, Cisco Umbrella & ISE, and Aruba ClearPass for network access control and security.
    - NetScaler load balancers.
    - Cisco Meraki and Broadcom VeloCloud for SD-WAN.
  • A sound understanding of ITIL, Incident management frameworks and platforms (Service Now), technical delivery methodologies.
  • A philosophy of lifelong learning. Technology is constantly changing, and so are we. The candidate will keep up with technology trends and explore new solution options through experimentation.
  • An eagerness to mentor and grow with others. We'll learn together and share our knowledge and experiences.
