Title:  HR Administrator

Employment Type:  Permanent Full Time

About the opportunity

Our People & Culture Services team is looking for someone who loves the detail. Someone who notices when a workflow can be improved. Someone who takes pride in clean data, accurate documentation and well managed processes.

This role is centred on operational excellence rather than advisory work. It plays a critical role in keeping our employment lifecycle processes running smoothly, accurately and compliantly across the business.

If you are the type of person who enjoys structured work, processing, following up, monitoring progress and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this role will suit you.

You will be managing employment variations and supporting key employment programs, so you will need to develop an understanding of what is compliant and what is not. We can teach you the technical employment framework. What we cannot teach is your natural attention to detail, accountability and pride in getting it right.

What will you be doing?

On a week-to-week basis, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing employment variation requests, including terminations and cross boarding through our HRIS platform
  • Coordinating documentation and following up outstanding actions to ensure completion
  • Supporting the administration of our Parental Leave Program in line with policy
  • Drafting and issuing parental leave documentation
  • Processing parental leave payments in partnership with Payroll
  • Monitoring and responding to queries in the HR Operations inbox in a timely and professional manner
  • Providing practical guidance to leaders on navigating the HRIS system

This role is based in our Preston office four days per week, with flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Who are we looking for?

Your experience might look like:

  • Administration
  • Operations support
  • Payroll
  • Workforce administration
  • A high volume processing environment

You'll thrive in:

  • Clear workflows and structured tasks
  • Managing volume and competing priorities
  • Improving processes
  • Working in systems
  • Delivering work quickly and accurately

Experience with SAP SuccessFactors would be a significant advantage. Experience with Oracle, Workday or another HRIS platform is equally welcome. Systems confidence matters more than the brand of system.

A working knowledge of employment standards is helpful but not essential. We will support you to build your understanding of compliance requirements.

Most importantly, you are organised, accountable, detail focused and take genuine satisfaction in operational delivery done well.

We absolutely value and support team members who aspire to become HR Advisors. However, this particular opportunity is designed for someone who wants to build depth and expertise in administration and operations. If advisory is your long term goal, we encourage you to look out for future opportunities that are more aligned to that pathway.

What's next?

  • Submit your application form along with your resume
  • Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the hiring manager and invited to attend an interview
  • Successfully interviewed applicants will be offered a position
  • The successful applicant will be required meet a satisfactory National Criminal History Check and possess the appropriate working rights

We endeavour to communicate an outcome to all applicants by the closing date of the advertisement.
