About the team
Our Design team plays an important role in bringing our brands to life across a wide range of customer touchpoints. Working across the CW Retail portfolio, the team delivers engaging and high-quality creative across catalogues, print, digital, LAM (Local Area Marketing) and POS (Point of Sale) materials. As part of a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you’ll work closely with designers, marketing stakeholders and the broader business to ensure every piece of creative is accurate, on-brand and delivered to a high standard.
About the role
We’re looking for a Finished Artist to join our Design team and support the delivery of artwork across multiple CW Retail brands, with a particular focus on LAM and POS materials. Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate, high-quality and press-ready artwork across print, digital, catalogue and in-store communications. You’ll work closely with the Team Leader, Head of Design and Marketing stakeholders to take creative concepts and layouts through to final production, ensuring all artwork meets brand guidelines, production requirements and agreed deadlines. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has a strong eye for detail, understands the technical requirements of artwork production and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Role responsibilities
- Prepare finished artwork and press-ready files across LAM, POS, catalogue, print, digital and other marketing materials.
- Adapt creative layouts and artwork across multiple brands, formats and communication channels.
- Work closely with the Team Leader, Head of Design and Marketing stakeholders to develop and finalise artwork.
- Ensure all artwork accurately reflects approved information, including imagery, pricing, discounts, store details and promotional messaging.
- Follow approved brand guidelines, templates, libraries and design processes across all creative outputs.
- Prepare artwork for print production, website layouts, in-store activations and events.
- Submit completed artwork to the Team Leader for review and approval within agreed timeframes.
- Liaise with Marketing stakeholders to obtain feedback and make required amendments accurately and efficiently.
- Identify and troubleshoot design, artwork and production issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate file management and ensure artwork is stored and supplied in accordance with team processes.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Design team, supporting colleagues with job requests and competing priorities.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist the Team Leader and Head of Design with department projects, initiatives and process improvements.
- Maintain and develop knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, design processes, print specifications and production requirements.
Who we are looking for
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Finished Artist, Graphic Designer or Print Production role, ideally within a fast-paced retail or commercial environment.
- Experience preparing artwork for LAM, POS, catalogue, print and other marketing communications.
- Intermediate to advanced skills across Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of artwork preparation, print production, layouts, typography, imagery and visual communication.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy across pricing, promotional information, imagery and brand requirements.
- Strong understanding of brand guidelines and the ability to consistently apply them across multiple formats and brands.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with designers, marketing stakeholders and suppliers.
