The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team, supporting core financial reporting, statutory requirements and month-end processes across the business.
Reporting to the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting within a large, complex ASX-listed environment.
You’ll be hands-on across month-end, consolidations and balance sheet integrity, while also contributing to statutory reporting and working closely with external auditors. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a broad, technically strong role with exposure to senior stakeholders and group-level reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end close processes including journals, reconciliations and reporting
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure balance sheet integrity
- Assist with consolidation of financial results across subsidiaries
- Prepare monthly reporting packs and financial commentary for senior stakeholders
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors
- Assist in the preparation of half-year and annual statutory accounts (ASX reporting)
- Identify and implement improvements to financial controls and processes
- Support ad-hoc analysis, reporting and finance-related projects
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experience in financial accounting or external audit (Big 4 or mid-tier highly regarded)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Experience working in a large or complex environment (ASX exposure desirable)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
