  • Analyse monthly trading performance across sales, margin, rebates and costs
  • Partner with Buyers to assess supplier agreements, trading terms and promotional activity
  • Support pricing, ranging and promotional decisions through financial analysis
  • Own end-to-end rebate management, ensuring accurate accruals, reporting and collections
  • Maintain strong governance and controls to protect trading gross profit
  • Prepare monthly reporting and provide clear insights into performance drivers
  • Investigate and explain variances to budget, forecast and prior periods
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes for the Merchandise function
  • Contribute to system and BI improvements to enhance reporting and data quality

About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in commercial finance, management accounting or analyst roles (retail/FMCG/wholesale preferred)
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Exposure to rebates, trading income or margin analysis (highly regarded)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Strong attention to detail and financial discipline
  • A proactive, curious mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders
  • CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
