Our IT Enterprise Applications team is currently seeking a D365 Technical Consultant to join the team. In this role you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Microsoft ERP eco-system viz. Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Dynamics AX (2009/2012), working directly with internal key stakeholders, Vendors and collaborating with IT functional team to achieve unified business outcomes.

Job Description

Reporting to ERP Practice manger, you will be part of the team assisting in transforming functional requirements to technical solution. Your expertise in technical processes and product knowledge will enable you to implement technology solutions that support and drive excitement for project team. You will confidently advise against approaches that are not best practice, providing clear examples to support your viewpoint. 

 

 

The responsibilities of this role will be to:

 

•    Participate in client functional and technical workshops, to analyses and design Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations technical solutions.
•    Write technical design documentation (TDD) and collaborate with the functional team to ensure functional and technical requirements are understood and well defined.
•    Engage in discussions with functional consultants for design clarifications.
•    Delivers high quality X++ code with defined quality standards and guidelines.
•    Develop ‘proof of concept’ solutions where required.
•    Management of multiple cloud instances of Dynamics including initial deployment, code releases and database copies, ensuring clear communication to stakeholders.
•    Code release management, ensuring successful build and deployment to relevant environments with appropriate release notes.
•    Solve technical issues encountered, raising to Microsoft support as required.
•    Participate in developing unit and system test scripts, deployment plans, and assist with SIT testing.
•    Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O developments and best practices.
•    Set up and maintain servers via Life Cycle Services (LCS).
•    Perform updates per Microsoft’s recommended Life Cycle.
 

 

Experience and skills

Along with extensive experience within the D365 space in a technical role, this person will ideally have the below: 

•    4+ years hand on experience as a technical consultant or similar role.
•    Experience in requirements scoping and documentation, solution design and system configuration.
•    Provide Go-live support to project team and on-going BAU support.
•    Certification in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer (MB500).
