Chef / Cook / Apprentice - Albert's Basement Cafe

Albert’s Basement Cafe is the in-house café serving staff and visitors at the Chemist Warehouse Head Office here in Preston! We’re a small, supportive team that values good food, teamwork, and a calm, professional kitchen environment. We’re currently looking for either a qualified chef, apprentice chef, or experienced cook to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a reliable weekday schedule, works well under pressure, and takes pride in preparing quality food for a consistent and appreciative customer base.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Preparing and cooking food for breakfast and lunch service
Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations including food prep, service, and clean-up
Assisting with menu planning and daily specials (depending on experience level)
Keeping your workspace clean, organised, and compliant with food safety standards
Helping maintain stock levels and communicating ordering needs
Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team

A holder of, or willing to obtain, a Food Safety Certificate
