About the role
The Team Leader – Vitamins, Nutrition & Home is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Vitamins, Nutrition & Home Buying Team, driving category excellence and ensuring operational, financial, and compliance objectives are achieved. This role plays a key part in delivering commercial outcomes, optimising supplier partnerships, and maintaining executional discipline across all Vitamins, Nutrition & Home categories.
Role Responsibilities
Buying
-
Embed best-practice buying standards across Vitamins, Nutrition & Home.

Align with suppliers on lifecycle priorities, promotions, and strategy.

Contribute to long-term category planning and resource allocation.
Procurement & Stock Management

Negotiate and evaluate suppliers to secure optimal pricing, quality, and service.

Maintain strong supplier partnerships to support innovation and reliability.

Oversee accurate, compliant procurement workflows and product data integrity.

Manage receivables, coop marketing, promotional funding, and rebate programs.

Improve stock management, reduce aged inventory, and optimise supply continuity.
Metrics & Compliance

Track and analyse key metrics (sales, margin, stock, supplier performance).

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, trading terms, and audit standards.

Drive continuous improvement through data insights and process optimisation.
Leadership & Collaboration

Lead and motivate the Buying Team to achieve commercial and operational KPIs.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

Partner cross-functionally to support aligned execution of business priorities.

Represent the team in strategic and cross-functional forums to achieve objectives.
Qualifications and experience

Experience working as a Buyer or Category Lead in similar categories, ideally within an online trading environment.

Highly organised and action orientated, with an ability to prioritise, multitask and manage teams to execute within deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with a professional approach

Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving

Proven track record for high level of attention to detail

Demonstrated capacity to perform well, problem solve and brainstorm in a collaborative environment

Technical aptitude with web-based tools and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Track record for managing strong resource workload with capacity management skills

Proven track record of managing multiple products, priorities and large volume of business

Demonstrated ability to analyse and react to quality and performance metrics, to drive quality and efficiencies

Demonstrate good business judgment, and ability to influence others
