About the opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer's Assistant to support our Vitamins category. This role is ideal for someone with a retail store background who is looking to transition into a buying role. You will assist in managing the product range, pricing, and promotional strategies to drive sales and profitability within the vitamins category.

 

The key responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Assist the Category Buyer in the day-to-day operations of the category including stock allocations, auto-replenishment of orders and relaying correct product information to internal teams.
  • Provide accurate information to stores and marketing teams relating to pricing of products, promotional campaigns, product and brand details and imagery.
  • Act as a key point of contact to stores to share upcoming delivery information, pricing information and any promotional activity and brand activations. 
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to plan and execute promotional activities.
  • Work with the stores and Supply Planning team to monitor inventory levels and assist in ensuring optimal stock availability across the store network.
  • Analyse sales data and provide regular reports on category performance.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Help manage product lifecycle, including new product introductions and discontinuations.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a retail store environment, preferably in health and wellness products.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and market research.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role is located in Preston and is required in the office 4 days per week.
