About The Role

Market Reach is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our reach and strengthening relationships within the healthcare sector for the provision of product trial solutions.

 

In this role, you'll be responsible for researching and identifying new marketing opportunities, designing and implementing innovative sales strategies, and ensuring the continued growth of Market Reach. Your Sales and Business Development expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our existing business while also broadening our operations to reach a wider healthcare audience, forging relationships with stakeholders within Marketing, Procurement and Brand Management teams. You will also introduce new services tailored to meet the evolving needs of our clients, ensuring they receive the best sampling solutions available.

Role Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Growth: Achieve or exceed sales targets by developing new marketing opportunities and sales strategies.
  • Selling Solutions to Clients: You will take a consultative approach to sales, working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored product trial solutions that drive engagement and results. By leveraging your expertise, you will present and sell innovative sampling strategies that align with their business objectives, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead New Business Development: Proactively pursue new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships to sell Market Reach product trial solutions and expanding our reach in the Pharma/OTC/FMCG sector
  • Develop Custom Solutions: Work closely with clients to create tailored business plans that align with their marketing strategies and promotional goals.
  • Analyse and Adapt: Conduct regular reviews of business performance, adjusting tactics to maximize market share.
  • Expand Market Presence: Plan and execute initiatives that broaden Market Reach’s visibility and impact in the healthcare sector.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure all activities meet the high compliance standards of our sampling programs
  • Work with the Market Reach Admin and Warehousing teams to continue to deliver superior service and highly compliant programs.
  • Prepare sales quotes, obtain customer orders, signed agreements, purchase orders and manage sales process

About You

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in solution-based sales, ideally within the pharmaceutical, pharmacy, healthcare, or medical science sectors.

  • Solution Selling Expertise: Strong proficiency in solution selling, with the ability to clearly articulate the value proposition of Medical Representative (MR) programs. Able to tailor conversations to address key customer challenges and highlight measurable outcomes.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Exceptional relationship builder with a focus on long-term partnerships. Understands the importance of client trust and delivers value beyond product offerings.

  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrates a solid grasp of product marketing, brand strategy, and promotional planning. Able to collaborate effectively with sales managers, brand managers, and other commercial stakeholders to support the development and execution of brand plans.

  • Industry Knowledge: Ideally brings experience working with pharmaceutical clients, with exposure to advertising, marketing, and communications, ensuring relevance when engaging with cross-functional teams.

  • Sales Performance: Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue through well-planned, insight-led sales strategies.

  • Technical Proficiency: Confident in using IT systems, with a solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially for reporting, analysis, and presentations.

  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Adept at data analysis, reporting, and documentation. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, always delivering with a professional and consultative approach.
