The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Officer to join our Finance team based in Preston. This role will see you working as part of a collaborative Accounts Receivable team, supporting the aged care portfolio.
You’ll play a key role in managing receivables, processing payments and maintaining collection processes — all while delivering a high level of customer service in what can often be sensitive situations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of aged care receivables across assigned accounts
- Maintain collection processes and follow up on outstanding balances
- Process and allocate receipts accurately across multiple systems
- Follow up on unallocated payments and missing remittances
- Assist in preparing aged debtor reporting and tracking overdue accounts
- Build strong relationships with residents, families and financial representatives
- Manage sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and queries
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is compliant
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across receivables processes
About You

- Experience in Accounts Receivable, collections or customer service
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to manage sensitive conversations
- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

- Experience within aged care, healthcare or a similar environment
- Exposure to large ERP or financial systems
