Reporting into the Accounts Payable Team Lead, this is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, aspiring and solutions focused Accounts Payable professional to join our ever growing and well-loved family business. Your responsibilities in this role, include but are not limited to:

About the role

Located at our Preston Head Office, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and processing all Accounts Payable transactions with precision and efficiency. Working alongside a collaborative team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Processing end-of-month (EOM) payments, ensuring compliance with trading terms for both domestic and international transactions.
  • Managing ad hoc payments and payment requests as needed.
  • Reviewing and authorizing vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Conducting statement reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Preparing and reviewing the monthly clearing report.
  • Responding to and actioning incoming emails related to accounts payable inquiries.
  • Handling ad hoc requests and additional tasks as required by the finance team.

About you

  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
