Ready to take your career to the next level? Optometrist Warehouse, part of the Chemist Warehouse Group, is launching something big in Mount Isa – and we’re looking for a driven, dynamic Store Manager to lead the way.

This is a rare opportunity to play a key leadership role, build your own high-performing team, and make a genuine impact on community healthcare – all while enjoying strong career development, relocation support, and national training opportunities.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Big opportunity in a growing brand – Help shape the future of optical retail in one of Australia’s most recognised healthcare groups
  • Relocation support – We’ll help you make the move to Mount Isa with a generous relocation allowance
  • Be a leader from day one – You’ll run the store autonomously with support from head office, leading a small team and setting the culture from the get-go
  • Access real growth – Take part in structured interstate training and future career development pathways within a national organisation

What You’ll Be Doing

As Store Manager, you’ll take charge of the day-to-day operations – leading retail, dispensing, staffing, and customer service. Working closely with our optometry team, you’ll help deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for every patient who walks through the door.

  • Oversee all retail and front-of-house operations
  • Support clinical teams with dispensing and patient flow
  • Drive store performance and profit through exceptional service
  • Manage rostering, recruitment, onboarding and team development
  • Uphold safety, compliance and store presentation standards
  • Deliver results while working both autonomously and in a team environment

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a confident, respected leader with a strong retail background – ideally in optical, pharmacy or healthcare – and you’re ready for a fresh challenge. You know how to build a team, take initiative, and create a workplace people love being part of.

  • Proven experience in retail leadership
  • Strong people skills and a hands-on management style
  • Familiarity with optical systems (Optomate, Sunix, etc.) is a bonus
  • A strong sense of ownership and drive to grow the business

Your Future Starts Here

This is more than just a store management role – it’s a chance to join a healthcare movement that’s reshaping how Australians access eye care. If you’re passionate about leadership, customer care, and making a real difference in your community, we want to hear from you.

Apply now and let’s build something incredible together.
