Title: Support Pharmacist
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Support Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality pharmaceutical services in line with all legislative, contractual, professional, and ethical obligations — while acting as a trusted advisor to patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dispensing & Clinical
• Manage the full dispensing process, ensuring prescriptions are safe, appropriate, and compliant with legislative requirements
• Review prescriptions for accuracy before they are dispensed to patients
• Ensure dispensing is completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Assess patient symptoms, provide treatment advice, and identify referral needs
• Provide expert guidance on prescription medicines, OTC products, and complementary medicines
Team Leadership & Development
• Supervise and guide dispensary staff throughout the dispensing process
• Mentor less experienced team members, supporting their professional growth
• Provide training and advice to pharmacy staff on medicines management
Operations & Compliance
• Manage pharmacy stock levels effectively, including date checking
• Ensure all pharmacy claims are accurate and submitted within required timeframes
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and safety requirements
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of integrity
ABOUT YOU

• Registered Pharmacist with a current practising certificate
• Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation, dispensing processes, and clinical practice
• Strong patient communication skills with a genuine commitment to care
• Proven ability to supervise, train, and mentor team members
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and understanding of confidentiality obligations
• Commitment to your own ongoing professional development and quality of work
