Job Description

As a Dispensary Technician at Chemist Warehouse The Base, you will support our pharmacists and dispensary team in delivering efficient and safe dispensing services. You’ll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
  • Accurately input and manage prescription information in the dispensary system
  • Provide customer support with medication queries (within scope)
  • Maintain stock control and inventory in the dispensary area
  • Comply with legal, professional, and Chemist Warehouse procedures
  • Support the pharmacist with administrative and dispensary tasks
  • Ensure the dispensary is kept clean, organized, and compliant

Skills and Experience

  • NZ Qualified Dispensary Technician Certificate level 4 or level 5 (essential)
  • 1 year experience in a pharmacy dispensary
  • Sound knowledge of pharmacy operations and medications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer and POS system skills
