Job Description

Chemist Warehouse Westgate is looking for an enthusiastic Intern Pharmacist to join our supportive and experienced team! If you're passionate about community healthcare, eager to learn, and ready to begin your professional journey in pharmacy, we want to hear from you.

As an intern pharmacist with Chemist Warehouse Westgate you will be working and learning at the same time! You will be expected to manage your training and assessments for the Internship Training Program with guidance from your preceptor and our education team, alongside your work and commitments.

About you:


-Completed your Bachelor of Pharmacy degree with a New Zealand University or institute
-Eligible to register as a Pharmacy Intern with the Pharmacy Council NZ and obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate
-Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care
-Reliable, organised, and eager to learn
-Enjoy working in a team environment

 

Key Responsibilities:


-Assist in dispensing medications accurately and safely
-Provide excellent customer service and health advice
-Support the delivery of pharmacy services (e.g., vaccinations, health checks)
-Maintain stock, workflow, and dispensary standards
-Work alongside the pharmacist preceptor to meet internship requirements
-Dispensary clean and tidy 
-Attend Chemist Warehouse training days

Ability to undertake pre-registrant year immediately
Ability to work well in a team and autonomously

Retail Pharmacy experience advantageous
