E-Commerce Business Analyst

Shape the Future of Digital – Build, Influence, Leave Your Mark

Are you ready to be part of something foundational? This isn’t just a Business Analyst role — it’s your opportunity to lay the groundwork for future growth, influence digital direction, and leave a lasting footprint in an organisation evolving its digital capability.

We’re on the hunt for a skilled and motivated E-Commerce Business Analyst to join our team on a fixed-term, full-time contract. Based onsite in our Grey Lynn support office, this role will be central to delivering digital initiatives that connect our customers, people, and systems.

As part of our e-commerce transformation, you'll play a hands-on role in establishing new ways of working, aligning stakeholders, and creating structure for scalable digital delivery. This is your chance to make a real impact — not just by delivering projects, but by helping to define how digital operates for years to come.

What You'll Be Doing

Business Analysis & Product Ownership

  • Lead discovery sessions to uncover business needs and translate them into clear requirements.
  • Collaborate across Store Ops, IT, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to align digital solutions with business goals.
  • Drive product ownership — from ideation to delivery — keeping feasibility, value, and business priorities in mind.
  • Maintain and evolve our digital delivery governance processes, ensuring efficiency and clarity.

Project Governance & Delivery Support

  • Shape and maintain the E-Commerce Digital Delivery Roadmap.
  • Define and manage product life cycles, delivery timelines, and key milestones.
  • Simplify complexity — converting technical requirements into user stories and actionable tasks.
  • Work cross-functionally to surface risks, identify dependencies, and deliver smooth project execution.
  • Use commercial data and insights (e.g. budgets, sales, forecasts) to assess project value and impact.
  • Support the CX and QA teams with wireframes, prototypes, and testing strategies.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with clear documentation, updates, and release notes.

Business-As-Usual Support

  • Own and manage the digital backlog — prioritising tasks based on impact, value, and business needs.
  • Coordinate releases and oversee post-release verification to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Support change management and help teams adopt new digital capabilities with confidence.

Who Are You?

You’re not just here to tick boxes — you’re here to build. You're curious, strategic, and naturally collaborative. You thrive in ambiguity and get energy from solving problems, aligning people, and turning ideas into outcomes. You will have great oranisational skills and the confidence to lead a fledgling team.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in digital or e-commerce environments.
  • A strong understanding of agile delivery, product ownership, and digital workflows.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across departments.
  • Sharp analytical skills and commercial awareness.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent (advantageous).
