Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers across phone, email, and live chat, delivering fast, accurate, and helpful resolutions to a wide range of queries. You’ll also support our store teams with expert knowledge of CGA and FTA processes to ensure consistent service excellence. The successful candidate will be on a fixed term full time contract to cover maternity leave. 

This role is based in our support office in Grey Lynn and there is no work from home policy.

 

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction

  • Promptly respond to customer inquiries, providing complete and accurate information.

  • Resolve issues across multiple channels including phone, email, and live chat.

  • Guide customers through solutions with empathy and professionalism.

  • Manage concerns related to returns, deliveries, product details, and order status.

  • Escalate unresolved issues and ensure effective follow-up.

Support & Compliance

  • Act as a key contact for CGA and FTA process guidance.

  • Assist store teams in ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

  • Relay customer feedback to relevant departments for continuous improvement.

Administration

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date customer records.

  • Perform administrative tasks including data entry and follow-ups.

  • Support the creation and maintenance of SOPs and service templates.

Teamwork & Relationships

  • Work closely with fellow Customer Service Officers to ensure consistency.

  • Build strong working relationships with stores, DCs, and other internal teams.

  • Promote a collaborative and respectful team culture.

You are a confident communicator who thrives on helping people and solving problems. You’re comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have the ability to adapt your communication style for different people and situations.

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

  • Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

  • Professional phone etiquette and active listening skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer service software

  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
