Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer’s Assistant to join the team at Chemist Warehouse New Zealand Support Office. This full-time role is ideal for someone with pharmacy experience as a Dispensary technician in New Zealand —who is looking to take the next step into a dynamic and fast-paced support role within our buying team.

 

As a Buyer’s Assistant, you will work closely with the Category Buyer, supporting a wide range of tasks across pricing, ranging, stock allocations, and general administration. You’ll play a key role in ensuring product information is accurate, up to date, and effectively communicated across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure pricing is implemented and loaded accurately
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of new products and ranges
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding stock allocations and availability
  • Act as a key point of contact for stores, ensuring information is communicated clearly and in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative support to the Category Buyer across various product categories

Skills

Ability to work autonomously and in a team when required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and confidence in presentation
High level of initiative and attention to detail
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products and databases including Excel
Willingness to learn and grow within the business
